Two-Two Motorsports/Honda’s Chad Reed has had a rough 2013, and it only got worse last night at the 2013 Seattle Supercross. Reed struggled all day on the wet Seattle SX circuit—qualifying 9th in timed qualifying and 5th in his heat race—and his main event lasted only a couple hundred yards.

In the main event, Reedy got caught up in a first-turn pile up that included last week’s winner, Red Bull/KTM’s Ryan Dungey, and the #22 went down hard. While Dungey remounted and fought back to finish 4th, Reed went back to the pits. We saw Reed holding and shaking his hand after the crash, but we later found out he banged his funny-bone (humerous) so hard his hand was numb—which explains why he was shaking his hand.

Overall, it sounds like the #22 is okay, and we expect him to be back on the line in Salt Lake City next weekend. Reed updated everyone with these tweets early this morning from his Twitter account. Click here to watch video of Chad Reed’s crash at the Seattle SX>>>
