Saturday night will mark the 17th time the gate has dropped for a Monster Energy Supercross, an FIM World Championship series race. Of the four past and present 450SX Champions that will possibly be on the line for the 2014 Phoenix SX main event, just two of them have won a 450SX main event in Phoenix: James Stewart (4 wins) and Ryan Dungey (2 wins). Not only are James and Ryan the only two 450SX Champions on the line to win in Phoenix, they’re also the only two riders in history to win at the venue in both the 250SX class and the 450SX class. These stats definitely give them favorite status heading into Saturday night.

Chad Reed and Ryan Villopoto have been all over the podium, but both have been shut out from winning a 450SX main event in the great state of Arizona. With five premier class Championships between them, this is a surprising stat. It could either mean they’re hungry and hard to bet against, or it could mean they’re not comfortable with the Arizona soil and hard to put money on. It’s Supercross, so it could go either way.

Of the rest of the field on the line, Justin Barcia is the only man to get a win in Phoenix. Last year, Barcia cemented his status as a top-tier 450SX rider when he put his first premier class main event win on his resume.

With this newfound knowledge so generously provided to you, check out the list below and give us your vote on who you think will get the job done at the 2014 Phoenix Supercross. Out of over 7,000 votes, Ken Roczen got just 500 votes for A1. None of the staff here at MotoXAddicts picked him, so lets see if we can pick the winner this week.
