In two separate incidents during qualifying today at round six of the Monster Energy Supercross, an FIM World Championship series, in San Diego, GEICO/Honda’s Wil Hahn and Monster/Kawasaki’s Jake Weimer went down and sustained injuries. For Jake, early reports stated a possible separated shoulder, and for Wil, we’re told he re-injured his right hand in the final qualifying session. Wil had qualified 20th, and Jake had qualified 29th early on before going down.

Both riders are officially out for tonight’s San Diego Supercross and will get their injuries looked at by their doctors during the week leading up to next weekend’s Dallas Supercross. Hopefully both are minor setbacks so we can see them get back to work quickly. We will keep you updated on both riders as we hear more.
