So far, the 250SX Eastern Regional Championship has been totally dominated by the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki squad with Adam Cianciarulo (2 wins), Martin Davalos (1 win) and Blake Baggett (1 win) winning the first four main events. Heading into Detroit next weekend, Mitch Payton’s hired guys sit 1-2-3 in the Championship, and it doesn’t look like there’s anyone that can stop them in 2014. With Mitch Payton’s team getting shutout of SX Championships in 2013 and also having problems out west earlier this year, the first four rounds of the east—with two podium sweeps—has to be a huge relief to one the most dominant team managers in the sport’s history.

On the other side of the coin, it looks like the team that did most the winning in 2013—GEICO Powersports/Honda—might get shut out of any SX Championships in ’14. Their top gun in the standings right now is Justin Bogle, and he sits twenty-two points back in the east with two podiums on the year. The GEICO squad finished up 2013 with Eli Tomac 2nd in the 2013 250SX Western Regional Championship, Wil Hahn winning the 2013 250SX Eastern Regional Championship and Tomac winning the 2013 250 AMA Motocross Championship, but with both of their 2013 champions moving over to the 450, 2014 looks like a year they may have to chalk up as a rebuilding season.

This week’s poll on the home page is, “Who Will Win 250SX Eastern Regional Championship?” While it looks like it will definitely be one of the three Monster/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki riders, we listed the top five in the points to choose from. Give us your vote in the poll below.
