For the last few weeks, we’ve heard rumors that the two-time defending MX2 World Champion Jeffrey Herlings was heading to the U.S. to race a 2014 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship race or two. Today, the Dutchman sent out a tweet from his @JHerlings84 Twitter account confirming that he will in fact be heading over for the 2014 Unadilla National on August 9th.

With the Red Bull/KTM rider being undefeated in every MX2 overall he’s contested in 2014 and widely regarded as one of the fastest riders in the world, it will be interesting to see how he matches up in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. Either way, it will no doubt bring a lot of excitement to the series and give fans from both sides of the pond something to get pumped up about.
