It’s a whole new ball game. During the first four motos of the 2014 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship, the Star Racing/Yamalube/Yamaha teammates, Jeremy Martin and Cooper Webb went 1-1-1-1 and 2-2-2-2 and looked well on their way to dominating this Championship. Not only did Martin win the first four motos, but he did so by an average of nearly twenty seconds per. Since then, though, the 2012 250 AMA Motocross Champion, Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Blake Baggett, has gone 4-1-1-1-1-2 and inserted his name into the 2014 250MX Championship talk.

Before winning moto two at the Thunder Valley National, Baggett had a DNF on his scorecard and was a massive 59 points behind Martin, but as the series heads to round six at RedBud, he is only seventeen points back. The number 4 has made up forty-two points in five motos due to his results coupled with Martin going 6-2-6-10-6 in those motos. In every moto but one, Martin has hit the deck, and in the 10th place finish, he had to come back from dead last.

As it sits now, Martin still leads the Championship, but with Webb getting his first-ever overall win last weekend in Tennessee, Baggett finishing 2nd and Martin finishing 7th, the gap has gotten tight between the top three. Check out the top five in the points below and give us your vote for who you think will win this Championship.
