Yesterday, Rockstar Energy Racing/Husqvarna’s Martin Davalos announced via the @RockstarEnergy Instagram account that he will be racing the Husqvarna 450 in the 450SX class at round three of the 2015 Monster Energy Supercross, an FIM World Championship, in Anaheim tonight. Martin has been in recovery since breaking his wrist and injuring his ankle nearly a year ago, but the Ecuadorian has been back on the bike since just before the Monster Energy Cup in October.

How will the #47 do on the big bore Husqvarana? I think Martin will be very happy with making the main event and just being somewhat competitive, but he has shown in the past with a fourth overall at the 2011 Monster Energy Cup that he can ride the 450 well. Personally, I think Martin will fall in between 10th to 14th place, but we would not be surprised to see him even a little higher with a great start. Either way, it’s great to see him throwing his hat back in the ring sooner than expected.
