AURORA, Ill. (January 30, 2015) – Feld Motor Sports® announced today that the second episode of the acclaimed documentary series, Monster Energy Supercross Behind the Dream, will air this Sunday, February 1, on FOX Sports 1 at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET, mere hours after the checkered flag flies at Angel Stadium for the fifth race of Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, on Saturday night.

Monster Energy Supercross Behind the Dream has quickly been recognized for its in-depth look into the lives of the athletes that lay it all on the line every weekend during the 17-race Monster Energy Supercross season. While the show documents the on-track successes and heartbreaks of the riders, it also takes goes the extra mile to give viewers an inside look into what happens off the track with these world-class competitors as well.

The 2015 premiere of Behind the Dream that aired on January 18 on FOX Sports 1, focused on previewing the most anticipated season in Monster Energy Supercross history, asking the question #WhosNext. Episode 2 puts the spotlight on RCH Soaring Eagle/Jimmy John’s Factory Suzuki rider Ken Roczen, who made the first statement of the season by winning the opening race in Anaheim and followed that up with a second win in Anaheim two weeks later to grab early control of the championship. The 2015 season is the German’s second in the 450SX Class and also marks his first with the Ricky Carmichael and Carey Hart owned race team. In its first two years of Monster Energy Supercross competition RCH Racing saw mixed results, but in signing Roczen, a rising star in the sport, title aspirations became a reality and the new partnership achieved success immediately in their first race together.

Behind the Dream gives insight into the bond between Roczen and his father, the relationship he has with his trainer Aldon Baker, and the mentoring that comes from team owners Carmichael and Hart.

In addition to Roczen, the second episode of Behind the Dream will also profile Vicky Golden, the sport’s groundbreaking female athlete. Golden made a name for herself by achieving success at the X Games, winning three consecutive gold medals in Women’s Super X. However, she took her success to new levels by becoming the first woman in the sport’s history to commit to racing full time against men. Golden embarked on the Ricky Carmichael Road to Supercross during the 2014 AMSOIL Arenacross season, ultimately becoming the first woman to complete the program and officially earn a 250SX Class endorsement to compete in Monster Energy Supercross. This season, Golden is continuing her dream and is preparing for her ultimate goal of attempting to qualify for a Monster Energy Supercross race in Arlington, Texas, on February 14. By doing so, Golden will become the first endorsed female rider to attempt to qualify for a race, adding to her already incredible legacy. For Golden, this is the opportunity of a lifetime and she has every intention of taking full advantage of it.
