The 2015 St. Louis Supercross and round thirteen of the 2015 Monster Energy Supercross, an FIM World Championship series, is behind us, and the Red Bull/KTM riders returned to the top of the box after taking one week off. After Marvin Musquin and Ryan Dungey swept the top spot for three straight weeks, the GEICO/Honda teammates Eli Tomac and Justin Bogle swept in Detroit, but at St. Louis, the mighty orange duo of Musquin and Dungey returned and grabbed Red Bull/KTM their fifth 250SX/450SX win sweep of the season. Their wins stretched their 250SX East and 450SX Championship points leads to 80 points for Dungey and 20 points for Musquin. For two of the most consistent riders in the paddock, leads like those are a virtual lock.

In the battle for fastest lap in Motor City, Eli Tomac (47.101) edged out Dungey (47.270) in the 450SX class. For Eli, his fastest lap translated into a 2nd place finish, and with Honda Racing’s Trey Canard sidelined to injury, he moved up to 2nd in the 450SX Championship standings. The third fastest 450SX time was clocked by Honda Racing’s Cole Seely (47.443) who barely edged out Rockstar/Husqvarna’s Jason Anderson (47.464).

As for who was the overall fastest 250SX rider in St. Louis, that title went to Star Racing/Yamaha’s Jeremy Martin (47.276). Both Martin and Musquin (47.292) were on another level than the rest of the 250SX class in St. Louis and had the third and fourth overall fastest laps when you include the 450SX class times. The two checked out on the field in St. Louis and finished with an eleven-second lead over Monster/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki’s Joey Savatgy—who finished 3rd in the main event and had the 3rd fastest lap (47.906).
