After injuring himself at the 2015 MXGP of Italy, Monster Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto went silent until recently announcing his retirement from racing. At the MXGP of Belgium in Lommel today, RV2 showed up to sign autographs and talk to the press.
I have to be honest here; while I appreciate Ryan going to Europe to contest the MXGP World Championship, I think these press conferences and interviews should be taking place here on his home soil. All of his fans and everything that made RV2 a legend are here in America, but for some reason he has completely shunned everyone on this side of the pond since announcing he would race in Europe. We hear RV2 will be in California for the MXGP of America at Glen Helen, but we would be pumped to see Ryan say some goodbyes at the 2015 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship before it concludes in Indiana.
