At the end of the fourth day of competition at the 2015 FIM International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) in Kosice, Slovakia, Australia moved one step closer to securing a memorable clean sweep of the World Trophy, Junior World Trophy and Women’s World Trophy competitions. Remaining at the head of each of the three classes, with one full day of competition remaining, along with the final day motocross races, things are looking very good for Australia.

Extending their lead at the top of the World Trophy team competition over Italy by three minutes, Australia enjoyed yet another strong day in Slovakia and are now placed more than fifteen minutes clear at the top of the class. With a new course bringing with it two new special tests, strong overall performances from Daniel Milner – Yamaha and Daniel Sanders – KTM ensured another winning Australian World Trophy Team performance.
Behind Australia it is Italy who remains second, close to fifteen minutes ahead of Finland. Germany, Czech Republic and Sweden round out the top six with home nation Slovakia seventh, just over five minutes behind Sweden. Running into trouble on day four the USA’s World Trophy team was reduced by one rider as Thad Duvall was forced to retire from competition with a technical problem.
There is no change in the top three of the Junior World Trophy competition where Australia leads ahead of Sweden and the USA. Stretching their advantage by a further two-and-a-half minutes Australia are now placed close to eleven minutes ahead. The USA are a further five minutes behind Sweden who are followed by France, Italy and Great Britain.
In the Women’s World Trophy competition the Australian trio of Jessica Gardiner – Sherco, Tayla Jones – Yamaha and Jemma Wilson Yamaha now sit an incredible thirty-nine minutes clear of their nearest challengers. Successfully completing another day of competition, just like their World Trophy and Junior World Trophy team mates they too took an important step closer to winning the Women’s World Trophy competition. While France maintain a comfortable advantage over Sweden, their Scandinavian rivals Finland sit just seven minutes behind in fourth.
USA’s Ryan Sipes – Husqvarna ended day four as the overall fastest rider, once again battling with Australia’s Daniel Milner – Yamaha for the top spot in the Enduro 2 category. Topping the day outright by some thirty-two seconds Sipes also claimed his third Enduro 2 day win of the event. Behind Sipes and Milner was France’s Loic Larrieu – Sherco. Sipes, Milner and Larrieu hold the top three positions in the overall Enduro 2 class results, with Sipes now forty four seconds ahead.
Finn Eero Remes – TM put his disappointment from day two behind him, when he incurred heavy time penalties, to top the Enduro 1 class. Behind Remes, Jamie McCanney – Husqvarna placed second with German Eddie Hubner – KTM third. In the overall Enduro 1 class results McCanney sits one minute and forty nine seconds ahead of Australian Josh Green – Yamaha.
Australia’s Daniel Sanders – KTM secured the win in the Enduro 3 class, finishing ahead of Mathias Bellino – Husqvarna and Oscar Balletti – KTM. Sanders is now place one minute and forty one seconds ahead of Bellino in the overall Enduro 3 results with Portugal’s Luis Correia – Beta third.
Day five – the final full day of competition, will see riders return to the same trails and special tests as used today, which are sure to be much rougher second time around.
