Last Saturday night while battling for the lead, Yoshimura/Suzuki’s James Stewart was plowed into by Red Bull/KTM’s Ryan Dungey in a racing incident. James was squaring up the corner trying to make a pass for the lead while Dungey made a small mistake and came in too hot. The two came together, and the impact had James taking a short dirt nap. James was not able to get to his feet and ended Anaheim 1 with a disappointing DNF.

There’s still no confirmation on James’ return to racing, but today JS7 sent out an Instagram post that has us optimistic that we’ll see him on the line at round two in San Diego. We may see a press release from Suzuki soon, but for now, we will hope to see the #7 on the line on Saturday night. Love or hate him, the sport is better with James on the line.
