For reporters of the 2016 Monster Energy Supercross Western Regional 250SX Championship, it’s been difficult to differentiate between the #38 and the #39 of the GEICO/Honda team when they’re on the track together. Unfortunately this weekend Jordon Smith will not be there to help confuse us. “I have been trying to push through a shoulder injury for the past 4 rounds and unfortunately my crash from last weekend aggravated it more,” Jordon said from his Instagram account yesterday.

With that, Jordon pulled out of the Arlington Supercross. The Western Regional 250SX Championship will not reconvene after Arlington until the Santa Clara SX in April, but Jordon went on to say, “So now I am just going to focus on getting healthy for the remainder of the season,” which hints that we may not see the #39 until after the Las Vegas SX. Hopefully the sophomore pro can get his shoulders feeling 100% soon and build on the momentum he had over the first six rounds.
