Jake Weimer Injury Update

All the talk about RCH / Suzuki’s Jake Weimer‘s crash in the 2016 Detroit SX main event has centered around Red Bull / KTM’s Ryan Dungey jumping on the red cross flag, but Jake sustained a separated shoulder in the crash. Fortunately, there was no tear so Jake is expected to be on the gate in Santa Clara after the week off.

Last Saturday I dislocated my shoulder and that's why I didn't finish the race. I got an MRI and I got lucky and didn't tear anything. It's happen to me one time before a few years ago and the Dr told me it looks better now than it did last time I saw him a couple years ago. So no riding this week, just letting it rest and doing therapy and I'll be good to go for Santa Clara! I did a full training day today and it feels good.
