Red Bull KTM Factory rider Jeffrey Herlings has won his 50th Grand Prix with another stunning performance at the Grand Prix of Europe. The Dutchman also won his seventh GP at Valkenswaard in a row, and continues to make history.

With 1-1 results, the two times world MX2 champion marches onto the next GP with a huge points lead in the championship after just three rounds.

Pauls Jonass took a quick lead in the opening MX2 moto, with Herlings second and Petar Petrov third. Herlings quickly took the lead and after three laps it was Herlings, Jonass, Petrov, Jeremy Seewer, Davy Pootjes, Benoit Paturel, Michele Cervellin, Brent Van doninck, Freek van der Vist, Alvin Oslund, Roberts Justs, Calvin Vlaanderen, Ben Watson, Jorge Zaragoza and Aleksandr Tonkov in 20th place.

Due to a downpour of rain around lunch time, which saturated the circuit, the MX2 riders were as much as 20 seconds a lap slower than yesterday.

After eight laps Herlings lead was 17 seconds from Jonass, next came Petrov, Seewer, Pootjes, Paturel, Van doninck, Cervellin, Ostlund, Watson, van der Vlist, Vlaanderen, Tonkov, Justs and Olano Larranaga in 15th place.

A race of little excitement continues as Herlings lead is now 31 seconds, Jonass holds a seven second lead over third placed Petrov, and then comes Seewer, Van doninck, Pootjes, Paturel, Ostlund, Watson, Cervellin, and Tonkov.

Max Anstie was back in 17th place, and his team-mate Thomas Covington in 21st place. In the end Anstie dropped to 19th place.

It was an uneventful race which Herlings owned from Jonass and Petrov.

Red Bull KTM Factory rider Jeffrey Herlings has won his 50th Grand Prix with another stunning performance at the Grand Prix of Europe. The Dutchman also won his seventh GP at Valkenswaard in a row, and continues to make history.

Second MX2 moto and Herlings took the holeshot from Tonkov, Paturel, Jonass, Zaragoza, Vlaanderen, Ostlund, Justs, Seewer, Samuele Bernardini, Petrov, Cervellin, Watson, Vsevolod Brylyakov, and Verhaeghe in 15th.

After one lap the lead was four seconds, and after two laps the lead was eight seconds. The gap continued to open as on the third lap it was 12 seconds. The fastest sand rider in the world was making another statement in the sand.

Anstie was again in trouble as he continued his terrible weekend, crashing again, and holding down 34th place after two laps. Convington was also struggling in 37th place. Jonass moved into second and on lap five Herlings lead was 23 seconds.

Petrov was way back after a mistake and a massive battle went on between Tonkov, Vlaanderen and Paturel, all three locked together.

Seewer made his way into third place, and after 13 laps the lead by Herlings was more than a minute. He had lapped up to 12th place with a lap remaining in the moto.

Herlings wins his 50th GP win with a lead of one minute and 19 seconds over Jonass. Third was Seewer.
