During qualifying at the 2017 Glendale SX, 51Fifty / Yamaha’s Tyler Bowers cartwheeled hard, and GEICO / Honda’s Jeremy Martin injured by Bowers’ flying Yamaha 250F. Both riders pulled out of the night show in Glendale.

Jeremy Martin’s GEICO / Honda team said, “Martin showed his typical fast qualifying speed by clocking the third-best time in the first timed qualifying session. But when Tyler Bowers crashed in a rhythm section, Martin connected with him and went down, and he banged his head a bit in the fall. Martin was able to get back up and finish the qualifying session, but as a precaution, the team elected to keep him out of the racing action for the rest of the event.”

We will update you more later today on Bowers’ injuries, but we hear he may be out for a bit. Check out video of the big crash below.
