MotoXAddicts reported earlier this week that amateur standout and the 2017 Loretta Lynn’s Horizon Award winner, Justin Cooper, would be making his professional debut on the Star Racing / Yamaha at Unadilla. Last night, Justin confirmed that news on Instagram.

Justin also confirmed that his deal with Star Racing will stay with him through his rookie season. “The announcement has been made, Justin said from his @JustinCooper191 Instagram account. “I’ve signed with @starracingyamaha for the last 3 rounds and through the 2018 season! It’s been a long road to get to where I am now, but I wouldn’t of wanted it any other way. It makes it that much better. So blessed for this opportunity and ready to get after it. Let’s get this show on the road, who’s ready for Unadilla⁉️ PC: @mikevizerphoto

On a side note, if Justin is anywhere near as good as he is at Mad Skill Motocross on an actual motocross track, the 250 class is in big trouble. Justin finished 7th in the Mad Skills Motocross World Championships last year held in Stockholm, Sweden—one spot behind his brother.
