After having a breakthrough year with two 250SX podiums on the Troy Lee Designs / KTM, it was just announced that Mitchell Oldenburg will move over to the Star Racing / Yamaha team for 2018 and 2019. “Beyond thankful for the opportunity I have been given, Oldenburg said from his @Freckle28 Instagram account. “Excited for the next 2 years with Star Racing / Yamaha”
With two podiums in just four main events raced—he missed 5 rounds with injury—in the 2017 Western Regional 250SX Championship, we were surprised it took this long for Mitchell to find a new home. We are pumped to see him land on his feet and look forward to seeing him in blue for 2018 and beyond.
