During his heat race at the 2018 Glendale SX, Monster Energy / Pro Circuit / Kawasaki’s Joey Savatgy hit the deck hard through the whoops. Joey DNF’ed the heat race, won the LCQ and limped back to the line for the main. After another crash in the main, Joey still left Arizona with 4th place points.
The #17 left Arizona beaten up but still just five points behind Aaron Plessinger—250SX West points leader after his win tonight. This 250SX West is beginning to look like a three man fight to Vegas between Plessinger, Savatgy and Shane McElrath with Adam Cianciarulo, Christian Craig and Chase Sexton still lurking.
