The last time we saw Blake he was on the #36 GEICO / Honda.

This has been in the rumor mill for a while now, and it is starting more like fact and less like rumor every day. We are told the man they call Slash—Blake Wharton—is preparing for a return to Monster Energy Supercross to contest the 2018 Eastern Regional 250SX Championship. According to the Munn Racing’s Facebook page Blake will be riding a Munn Racing / Husqvarna.

The 26 year-old Texan walked away from racing after filling in on GEICO / Honda in 2014 to pursue his numerous other interests, but the three-time 250SX main event winner might still have some unfinished business in Supercross.

These comeback plans often do not materialize, but this is one we really hope does. We will try to get a hold of Blake in the coming weeks and see if we can talk to him about his 2018 plans. For now, though, we are just really hoping this plays out with Blake lining up for the 250 East. Everyone needs a little more Slash in their lives.
