Davi was never able to race his new Factory Yamaha

We knew this was coming, but still hoped it might not happen. The #18, Davi Millsaps, is officially hanging up his boots and calling it a career. With numerous wins at every level of the sport in SX and MX, Davi will be remembered as a true talent in the sport.

Davi had been at the highest level of the sport for 14-years, but after sustaining an offseason injury that included another major concussion, I think Davi is probably making the right decision for his future. Davi has a wife, kids and a long future to think about ahead of him long after his racing career.

Davi was an awesome person to cover at the races for us over the last 8-years we have been covering the sport and we wish him well in his post racing career. Now, we wait for the Justin Barcia 2 or 3-year deal we hear will be announced soon.
