Jeremy Martin Injured at Muddy Creek

After running away with the moto 1 win and cutting 13 points out of Aaron Plessinger’s 20-point lead, GEICO / Honda’s Jeremy Martin landed on Justin Cooper over a jump and went down hard during the first lap of moto 2. It was obvious right away that Jeremy was in some real pain. The #6 was immediately holding his back while on the ground and was later carted off the track on a backboard and taken to a local hospital for observation.

Update: 6/27 Successful surgery for Jeremy.

Ohh man guys ☹️ Incredibly disappointing to have my season end like this. This title was mine and I was finally back to the old j mart. But this is apart of being a professional motocross racer. I have been getting the best care and support here in Bristol, My surgery went well and we are on the road to recovery. Thank you for all the love and messages and to all the fans that come out and support me at the races and support all of us riders. I will be back on a bike before to soon and blessed to have the best team in the pits @fchonda behind me….

Update: 6/24

@jeremymartin6 update- great news from the neurosurgeon this morning. J mart will undergo surgery tomorrow to stabilize his L1 fracture. He will be able to begin walking and therapy almost immediately after surgery. Recovery time is looking to be around 2 months. We are thankful it isn’t worse and that he is in good spirits!
