With the AMSOIL Arenacross Series closing their doors and not returning for 2019, the AX regulars are scrambling to try and stay out of the unemployment line. The 2018 AX Champ, Jacob Hayes, showed up at an AMA National to try and prove he has outdoor skills, but he won’t be needing those where he is going.

Today the Serco / Yamaha team in Australia announced that Jacob will be joining their team for the Australian SX Championship series later in the year. “US Arenacross Champion Jacob Hayes will contest the 2018 Australian SX Championship aboard the Serco yamaha 2019 yz250f,” the team said from Instagram. “Welcome to the team Jacob.”

This is a perfect fit for Jacob and do not be surprised if he is battling for a title later this season. It is also a perfect fit because the series ends with plenty of time for Jacob to try and land a job for the 2019 Monster Energy Supercross season.
