We are now eleven rounds into HRC / Honda’s Ken Roczen‘s return to racing for the 2018 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship and the #94 has yet to take his first overall win. Still, it is hard to call his return anything but a huge success. Ken returned from two major arm injuries in a row at Hangtown and since then he has scored five overall podiums, two moto wins and, when we scratch out Unadilla’s mud race, he has finished 2nd overall at the last four dry races in a row.

With his patience and consistency through this process of getting back to 100% mental and physical health, Kenny has stayed off the ground for the most part, and he currently sits an impressive 3rd in the 450MX AMA National Championship with just two motos left in the season. Kenny was clear when he started the year that he just wanted to get through the season healthy and build some momentum towards a couple Championship runs in 2019. So far, so good.

If Kenny lands on the podium next weekend in Indiana, he will have a 50% podium percentage for 2018 MX. Not bad for a guy many thought was beat up too bad to ever return to form.

After his 1-3 got edged out by Eli Tomac’s 3-1 at Budds Creek over the weekend, MotoXAddicts’ Chase Yocom caught up with the German transplant to talk about his moto one win, his hard fought 2nd place overall finish in the heat while sick and about reaching his goals this year as a whole.
