The biggest individual honor at the Motocross of Nations is going 1-1, and for the second year in a row that honor was achieved by an unlikely hero. Last year, Great Britain’s Max Anstie shocked everyone with a perfect 1-1 day, and this year it was Glenn Coldenhoff earning the 1-1 honor at RedBud.

While Max’s 1-1 was a surprise—he was at home at Matterley Basin and had some momentum going into the event—it wasn’t a total shock. Coldenhoff’s 1-1, though, was arguably one of the biggest surprise 1-1’s in decades. The Dutch rider was simply unstoppable in the wet sands of RedBud—dominating every lap of the Open class qualifying race, the MX2/Open combined moto and the MXGP/Open combined moto. It was a MXoN performance that will not soon be forgotten.

After the race, MotoXAddicts’ Chase Yocom caught up with the Dutch rider to talk about his incredible weekend at RedBud.
