It is a new age that we live in with medicinal marijuana now legal in 32 states and recreational marijuana now legal in ten states, and more states are going that direction every year.  With so much money pouring into the legal marijuana industry and Supercross and Motocross rich with their target audience, it was only a matter of time before the flourishing legal marijuana industry found moto.

First we saw weedmaps sponsor a few FMX riders and even dabble in SX a little by sponsoring a couple of riders. Then earlier today, Dean Wilson—who we believe will be back on a factory team sooner than later—announced he has a new sponsor for 2019: Ignite CBD Racing.

Dean announced from Instagram: “Massive thanks to Dan Bilzerian and the whole Ignite CBD team for supporting me and my program this year! Super stoked to be part of the Ignite fam! I really like to use these CBD drops after a hard days training as it helps inflammation and also helps with my stress/anxiety. I have been on the WADA watch list all year as they come and drug test at any place/any time and any where and CBD is not a banned substance. Thanks all for the support. #ignite 📷-  conwaymxphoto

I hope this new outside sponsor does well in SX and MX for obvious reasons. With Cannabidiol (CBD)—one of at least 113 cannabinoids identified in hemp plants—being recommended for and used to help with an endless number of ailments today, that industry has more cash than they know what to do with. And it helps that CBD is not on the banned substance list for WADA drug testing.

Congrats to Deano on his new sponsor. This one could be interesting to watch.
