In a scary moment tonight during the 2019 Glendale SX 450 main event, Motoconcepts / Honda’s Malcolm Stewart swapped through the whoops, went over the bars and went head first into the next jump. Malcolm laid motionless for some time before the Alpinestars Mobile Medic Crew got to him. The race was eventually red flagged for the medics to attend to Mookie.
There’s no official word on Malcolm’s injuries but we are hearing that he may have suffered a broken femur. It’s a bad deal for the #27, who was looking on the cusp of turning the corner towards becoming one of the elite guys in the 450 class. It never takes long into a season for the moto gods to remind us that this is a brutal sport.
