After going 7-3 in the first two main events of the 2019 Anaheim 2 SX “Triple Crown” event last night, Monster Energy / Yamaha’s Justin Barcia was forced to eject in the air and crashed hard in the third and final main event of the evening. The #51 was sitting 6th overall heading into the third main and the DNF pushed him down to 10th overall on the night. Even with his 10th, Justin still sits 4th in the 450SX Championship standings—7 points behind the leader, Ken Roczen.

When the crash first happened, it looked like we may have lost Justin for the year, but it sounds like it might not be as bad as it originally looked. Early word is nothing is broken, but we will know more soon. “Barcia left the stadium to seek medical attention for a possible bruised tailbone,” the Team said in a press release today. “The team awaits further news of his condition.”
