Rockstar / Husqvarna 250SX East rookie Thomas Covington just announced that he will miss tonight’s Detroit SX due to a knee injury sustained last week. “Unfortunately, I won’t be racing tonight in Detroit,” Thomas said from his Instagram account, @bigairtom. “Twisted my knee last week and thought I’d be fine by this weekend but it’s still not 100%. Hope to be back by Daytona!”

Thomas went out in Free Practice early this morning and while Thomas hasn’t been great in qualifying over the first two rounds, it was obvious the #112 was having an issue of some sort. We look forward to seeing him return at Daytona, where his outdoor skills will likely shine through some. Thomas was 15th in the points heading into today.
