Whether you love or hate JGR / Suzuki’s Chad Reed, you have to respect his candor. I’m sure Chad’s ability to unapologetically voice his opinion has some to do with his age and standing within the sport, but Reedy has never been scared to call it as he sees it. He is also usually pretty good about never saying anything he’s not willing to back up.

At the Denver SX last weekend, Donn Maeda [SwapMotoLive.com] caught up with the injured rider to see if he was on schedule to make his return from injury at the Las Vegas SX finale. “My goal is to make it back for Vegas,” Chad said to Donn in the video interview posted below. “I think that too many people just milk it. Sit on the couch like, ah, you know, I got the summer off anyway. My mind doesn’t work that way.

We wish the #22 luck and whether he makes it back for Vegas or not, we hope this isn’t the last we have seen of the former champ on the gate. Check out Donn’s interview below.
