After winning the first five 2019 Eastern Regional 250SX Championship races and finishing 3rd on the East / West Showdown—beating all East riders—Monster Energy / Pro Circuit / Kawasaki’s Austin Forkner had a 26 point lead, a head full of confidence and he was considered by everyone a lock for the 250SX East title. As we all know too well, things can change quickly in the sport and just two races later Forkner is out of the series with a torn ACL and a torn meniscus, and GEICO / Honda’s Chase Sexton has likely inherited the title and that six-figure payday.

After Austin was forced to surrender his 2019 title hopes during last weekend’s East Rutherford SX main event, we have all been wondering where his head is at with all this. Today, the #24 dropped a video on his Instagram to update everyone on his condition and he also talks a little bit about his “just send it” strategy in East Rutherford.
