At the end of the 2019 Monster Energy Supercross series, GEICO / Honda was not able to keep Cameron McAdoo on the team as they headed outdoors for the 2019 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. With Cameron showing massive improvements and a podium at the Las Vegas SX finale, the likable rider was on every factory teams short list if the needed a fill-in. Monster Energy / Pro Circuit / Kawasaki, Rockstar Husqvarna, Star Racing / Yamaha and TLD / KTM all expressed interest in the #44, and today he was spotted by Michael Lindsay out at Glen Helen on the factory Troy Lee Designs / KTM getting ready to race High Point.

We have not received a press release from the team yet, but according to Michael—who talked to Cameron—Cameron will be on the KTM “for the next few rounds…and hopefully the future.” Last year Cameron did not start his outdoor season until High Point as well and by the end of the year, he was getting really close to the top five. This year, GEICO / Honda gave him a bike to stay in shape and get ready for MX and, with that, he should be much more prepared from the start. I have a feeling he will find the top five and maybe even the podium in 2019. The kid has some serious skills and deserves every shot he has gotten during his career.
