Team France was officially announced by the President of the French Federation FFM, Jacques Bolle, for the 2019 Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations taking place in the deep sand of Assen in The Netherlands.

The 6-time winners of the event will try to win their Nations 7th Chamberlain trophy and their 6th in a row with Gautier Paulin (MXGP), Romain Febvre (Open) and the youngster Tom Vialle. For Gautier, this will be the 11th straight MXoN he has represented France, while this will be Febvre’s 4th time and Vialle’s rookie appearance at the event.

If France wins, Paulin will move into a tie with Roger Decoster for 3rd all-time with 6 MXoN’s wins, just one behind all-time MXoN’s leaders Jeff Ward (USA) and Jeff Smith (Great Britain)—who have 7 wins each.

For us Americans, we all hope we will be the ones to stop Paulin from achieving that milestone. Team USA for 2019 has been rumored to be Zach Osborne (MXGP), Jason Anderson (Open) and Justin Cooper (MX2). We will get the official Team USA announcement this weekend at Unadilla.
