A solid rumor going around at the moment is that Team USA (Zach Osborne, Jason Anderson, and Justin Cooper) will compete in the Loon Beach Race in France the week before the Monster Energy Motocross of Nations at Assen. It has already been confirmed that Jeffrey Herlings will use the race as preparation for the MXoN, and as Herlings will race the GP of Turkey, and I guess the GP of China, he is looking for more bike time.

“A good sand session would be great training for that,” Herlings told Motorsport.com. “And Loon-Plage offers me a difficult job in that respect. I am happy that KTM agrees with my participation on 22 September and I am really looking forward to being at the start.”

Loon Plage is a beach very close to Calais, so I can imagine it is the perfect week to head to the French International, and then drive up to Holland for the biggest motocross race in the World, the MXoN.

All I know is if this is the case, it is great news and takes me back to the 1980s when Team USA would turn up at a post season International and race against a long list of GP riders. Below a Herlings promo for the event.
