Unlike in years past, the riders on Team USA for the 2019 Motocross of Nations have packed their bags and headed over to Europe with plenty of time to prepare for the unfamiliar deep sand conditions that they will find at Assen in the Netherlands on the last weekend of September.

Jason Anderson was the first of the three-man team to land in Europe back on September 1—4 weeks before the event—with Zach Osborne catching up with him about a week later. Justin Cooper will be arriving in Europe tomorrow and next week all three team members will be training together on the European sand tracks for the final two weeks leading up to the event.

This plan will definitely help Team USA to find the podium at Assen in the Netherlands, but beating the three Dutch riders on their home sand will still be a tall order for anyone at the moment. No matter what happens, nobody can say these three Americans did not do everything in their power to try and bring the Chamberlain trophy home. These boys no doubt deserve our support this year, win or lose.

Since arriving in Europe, MX journalists and photographers have been finding Anderson and Osborne at their local sand tracks preparing for the event. Danny Relouw is one of those photographers, and he sent me over some of his pics he posted on MXActive with the #16 and the #21 Rockstar / Husqvarna’s at Grevenbroich in Germany.

Check out a few of his pics below and head over here to see more.
