It is hard to imagine after the brutal crash we all witnessed on Saturday night in Arlington that the defending 450SX Champion, Cooper Webb, would be lining up for the next round in Atlanta, but that is what the team said earlier today. “Cooper Webb to race Supercross, round nine, this weekend in Atlanta,” the Red Bull / KTM team said. “Despite the fall that saw him forced to withdraw from proceedings in Arlington, the reigning 450SX class champion plans to line up behind the gate in Georgia on 29 February.”

Cooper’s crash came after a second in the opening moto of the “Triple Crown”, so his scorecard still read 12-17-22—11 precious championship points—for 12th overall. While it was a night the #2 would like to forget, he is still in this thing. Cooper will roll into Atlanta with a 26 point deficit to Eli Tomac but with ten rounds still on the calendar, his title defense is far from over. Cooper, you are one tough SOB and we are pumped to know you are okay and thrilled we still have you in this fight.

Only a warrior would want to line up a week after this crash.
