In California over the weekend, sand was brought into the skate parks by the state officials to discourage kids from gathering at the parks and spreading the novel coronavirus. While it was an interesting idea, that seems to have backfired on those state officials. It may have discouraged and prevented skaters from hitting their local parks, but it encouraged locals to grab their shovels and pit bikes for a different kind of fun.
Conner Ericsson [Buttery Films]—who got his start filming moto and has become a social media influencer in his own right—made the local news and even national news today with his videos at the parks. Where there are wheels, there’s a way.
Check out a clip from the local news’ report and a couple Buttery Films’ videos below.

We made it on the news! The skateparks are ours and we need to take a stand! Stoked we were able to bring some light to this situation during these times. Hopefully this is an eye opener for some people and the kids are free to use the skatepark sand free from now on @kusinews
