Dean Wilson came into the 2020 season under the gun and still recovering from a broken hip he sustained at the 2019 Monster Energy Cup, so his results were not quite up to what he expected over the first 10 rounds of the 2020 Monster Energy Supercross series. Now, though, with another three months of recovery and riding time under his belt, he is looking to get back into the top five and to start battling for podiums with the big dogs.

We talked to Dean yesterday and he sounded like he is all healed and ready to go for the final seven rounds. “The break was really good for me, Deano said. “It really helped me heal up. In the beginning of the season, I was really behind on training and riding. To get that time to heal and get stronger—to catch up with everybody—was a big help to me. I’m stoked we got that little bit of a break and I feel like I’m a lot better off now.”

When Dean was asked about his contract ending and needing to fight for a job in 2021, he said: “What a lot of people don’t see is, I’m fighting for a job next year. I’d like to stay where I’m at, but nothing is guaranteed. Results speak for themselves, so that’s why it is important for me to do well.”

Heading into the final seven rounds, Deano sits 9th in the 450 Championship with six top-ten finishes and a seasons best 6th place finish in Tampa. Today, Dean put out a video of him riding yesterday in Salt Lake City. Check out the video of Deano putting in his final preparations for Sunday’s race below.
