To start the final qualifying session at each race during the Monster Energy Supercross series, they drop the gate for one practice start and I will never understand why the 250SX riders seem to throw caution to the wind every time in a fight to get to the front in the practice start. There has been a myriad of crashes over the years for these practice starts and today Shane McElrath nearly ended his championship hopes with a big crash with Pierce Brown during the 250SX East practice start.
