Seven laps into the 450SX main event with a comfortable lead at the 2021 Houston 2 SX, Chase Sexton threw it away exiting the sand section and hit the ground hard. “I got a good start and was really feeling good out front—in control and hitting my marks really well,” Chase said after the crash. “I put a pretty good gap between myself and [Eli] Tomac but made a small mistake that cost me big—hit the ground pretty hard. I’m really sore and my right shoulder is pretty beat up. I hope to be back racing here soon and try to finish the job and get my first win.”

It sounds like nothing was broken and Chase racing on Saturday will all depend on how sore he is heading into round 3. Chase wasn’t able to finish the job last night, but I have a feeling the #23 will be winning main events sooner than later. You can watch Chase’s crash in the video below.
