We reported Austin Forkner is out injured due to a crash this morning in Houston at round 3 of the 2021 Monster Energy Supercross series, and we can now add RJ Hampshire to the injured list as well. RJ Hampshire went down in the first free untimed practice session and will miss tonight’s race in Houston.
We did not see RJ’s crash nor have we had any official update, but it was reported that he was taken to a local Houston hospital with a possible hand injury. Heading into tonight’s race, RJ was 7th in the 250SX East Championship after two rounds with a 5-9 scorecard to start 2021, but he will likely drop to outside the top 10 after missing round three. We will update you on RJ when we hear specifics on his condition.
