During the main event at the 2021 Arlington 1 SX, Jason Anderson had the speed to find the podium, but after a bad start he needed to make quite a few passes to actually get up to the podium. With the track being a tough one to pass on, the man on the #21 Factory Husqvarna affectionately known as El Hombre, had to get creative and aggressive moving through the pack.
After the race, we heard that the AMA would be taking a closer look into Jason’s aggressive moves on Malcolm Stewart and Dylan Ferrandis but, to be fair, the passes on both Dylan and Malcolm looked reasonable to me. What Malcolm did in retaliation, though, that is a move that actually deserves the “closer look” by the AMA. Jason fought from a 10th place start to finish 3rd on a one lined track so, in my opinion, the only things he deserves is a high five and that podium bonus check.
Check out the video below and you can, over in our Facebook thread, let us know what you think about Jason’s passes and Malcolm’s retaliation? Who really deserves the tongue lashing (the general punishment the AMA hands out) from the AMA and who deserves a podium bonus check?
